Bethesda Green is a small team and we depend on our interns to help ensure we are able to achieve our mission to accelerate the sustainable economy locally with a focus on innovation, impact, and community. This summer we are excited to have two interns! We’re looking forward to working with them this summer.
Introducing, Emily Bernard, Bethesda Green’s Best For DMV Intern
Emily is a Maryland native, born and raised in Damascus. She is a rising senior at the University of Maryland, majoring in Government and Politics with a minor in Sustainability Studies. After graduating this coming fall, she plans to further her career in the environmental nonprofit world.
Emily applied to Bethesda Green out of her interest in local sustainability. She is passionate about issues like reducing single-use plastic consumption, recycling as much as possible, and recognizing the impact of your personal carbon footprint. This summer, Emily will be working to develop the Best for DMV campaign.
Outside of the office, you will find Emily lounging with her dog, Cleo, or hiking at Harper’s Ferry with her friends. She also enjoys camping on the beach and hopes to take trips to Assateague Island this summer.
