Seth Goldman
Co-Founder
Seth partnered with Montgomery County Councilman, George Leventhal, to co-found Bethesda Green in 2008. After co-founding Honest Tea, and leading it to global scale with the Coca-Cola Company, Seth has launched a new impact-driven food enterprise: Eat the Change. Seth will continue his part-time role as Executive Chair of Beyond Meat, and plans to focus the rest of his work against the dual crises of climate and health.
Sherry Altman

Sherry Marin Altman is an experienced professional in the areas of business strategy, innovation, and environmental sustainability. A former Vice President for Booz Allen Hamilton, Sherry has led alternative energy investment strategies for multiple clients, covering wind, solar PV and solar thermal, as well as energy efficiency/recovery. She has also worked as an Energy and Environmental consultant and a Transportation Planner. She is an MBA with over 20 years experience in management consulting and engineering consulting.
Jim Martinko

Jim is the Office Managing Partner at CohnReznick’s Bethesda Office. He provides insights from his experience with the surrounding communities to Bethesda Green and its Be Green Hub companies.
Jane Brooks Horn
Acting Treasurer
Jane Brooks Horn serves as a Managing Director at CBIZ, where she specializes in providing comprehensive tax and business advisory services. With decades of experience in public accounting, she advises entrepreneurs and their businesses on a wide range of matters, including federal, state, and local tax compliance, international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and business structuring. As a longtime supporter of Bethesda Green, she brings valuable financial insight and a deep commitment to sustainable business development to the board.
Will Ellis
As the Director of External Affairs at PEPCO, Will specializes in stakeholder relations with state and local officials, community leaders and businesses, consumer and nonprofit organizations.
Frank Byskov
Frank is a financial advisor focused on the intersection of sustainable investing and financial planning to help improve client outcomes while aligning investments with personal values. Frank brings a diverse background in finance to the board.
Andrew Friedson
Andrew Friedson is the District 1 Montgomery County Councilmember representing western Montgomery County along the Potomac River from the D.C. line to the Frederick County border. Andrew currently serves on the Planning, Housing, & Economic Development committee and the Government Operations & Fiscal Policy committee and is the Lead for Parks on the Council. Andrew lives in Bethesda and is a lifelong resident of District 1 who is committed to ensuring an environmentally and economically sustainable future.
Sophia Maroon
Sophia Maroon is the founder and CEO of SoFine Food LLC, the company behind Dress It Up Dressing—a line of all-natural, clean-label salad dressings based on her mother’s recipes. A longtime alumna of the Bethesda Green Incubator, Sophia has grown her company into a nationally distributed brand and a Certified B Corporation recognized for its commitment to sustainability and social impact.
Robert Snyder
Bob brings his knowledge of local economic development and 7 years of experience as an advisor and ambassador to both our incubator program and our companies. Bob is a long-time Bethesda resident and you may find him walking his dog down Bethesda Row.
Susanna Parker
Susanna Parker is the Marketing & Communications Manager at Bethesda Urban Partnership (BUP), where she leads strategic efforts to promote downtown Bethesda and engage the local community. In addition to her role at BUP, she serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors for The Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, supporting local business growth and development.
Susanna’s connection to Bethesda Green goes back over a decade—she first joined the organization as an intern and has remained a passionate supporter ever since. Her experience in communications, community engagement, and local economic development makes her a valuable voice on the board.
Diana Watts
Diana is an experienced university educator working to promote social innovation & adaptive strategies within food systems. She teaches at several local universities, John Hopkins, UMD, UMUC, and Trinity Washington University. She brings her experience in collaborative approaches, sustainability and the power of engaging students to our work.
