Bethesda Green with support from the Bethesda Urban Partnership invites submissions of landscape architectural design proposals for rain gardens at select sites in Downtown Bethesda. This is an opportunity to set the standard for future greenscape projects in support of the Downtown Bethesda Sector Plan. As development in the downtown area accelerates, stormwater runoff management becomes an urgent issue and these rain gardens will serve to mitigate damage to local streams and tributaries. We believe your firm possesses the experience and expertise needed to deliver a design that will shape the future of green infrastructure for Downtown Bethesda.
The full RFP can be viewed here. The selected firm will provide design services and GIS mapping of the four sites. Quality proposals will demonstrate expertise in urban greenscapes, innovative design philosophy, and a detailed budget. Funds available for this project are courtesy of Rock Creek Conservancy and the Pepco Sustainability Grant.
