Bethesda Green Announces Call for Accelerator Applications

Bethesda, MD — Bethesda Green welcomes founders working on innovative solutions to elevate sustainability and promote environmental and social impact throughout the economy to join its Innovation Lab, an expansive suite of programming designed to support entrepreneurs through all stages of their business life cycle.

Founders seeking to apply to the Spring 2022 Accelerator Cohort should submit applications no later than Wednesday, October 6th. More information about the program and a link to the application can be found here.

Benefits of the virtual Accelerator program, which will run from January through May 2022, include:

A fast-paced, high-touch, 4-month intensive curriculum
Access to a unique and established community of local leaders and organizations that collaborate around the goal of a sustainable economy
Targeted mentorship and advisors
Technical assistance for social, environmental, and financial benchmarking
Access to pro-bono and discounted professional services
Access to capital
Organizational capacity support

Bethesda Green is looking for companies with a coachable, committed, founding team with a rapid growth mindset, and a demonstrated problem/solution fit.

Founders located in the DC-Maryland-Virginia region, particularly those who are headquartered in or who seek to move to Montgomery County, MD, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Bethesda Green seeks to build a cohort that reflects the diverse population of the region and encourages applications from people of color, women and non-binary founders, and members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. The Innovation Lab offers four distinct sustainability-focused entrepreneurial programs:

The year-round Incubator program is designed to help entrepreneurs build a self-paced program to accommodate their schedules and vision while they work through the hurdles of early-stage business formation and launch. This program is open to all mission-aligned founders in the DMV region, including but not limited to those working in STEM / R&D.
The competitive Accelerator program involves a fast-paced, high-touch, 4-month intensive curriculum with a focus on investment readiness and commercialization assistance.
All financial award recipients automatically join the Innovation Lab Residency Program, where they continue to receive access to the many benefits and resources offered to Innovation Lab members for up to four years.
The year-round Amplifier program provides support to validation and growth stage companies who have received outside investment and seek to benefit from the growing Bethesda Green community.
