Bethesda Green’s Environmental Education program works to elevate community engagement with environmental issues. Our Environmental Leaders program and Teen Science Cafe provide high school students with opportunities to connect with environmental professionals and gain hands on experience in the field. Our Sustainability Series and BeGreen Climate Change Podcast provide the public with information on different environmental initiatives within the community and ways to get involved. Environmental Leaders Program
Bethesda Green’s school-year-long Environmental Leaders Program offers high school students in Montgomery County the opportunity to learn about sustainability and environmental stewardship. Participants gain valuable hands-on experience conducting environmental research, engaging their community, and designing and implementing their own environmental projects. In addition, students gain professional experience through a Bethesda Green internship and have opportunities to learn from the the Bethesda Green Innovation Lab eco-entrepreneurs. Learn more.
Teen Science Cafe
Teen Science Café is a fun way for teens to explore the field of environmental science and sustainability. Students have the opportunity to engage with different environmental professionals on a variety of topics. This program is free and all high school students are invited to participate. Programming will begin in the Fall of 2021. Learn more.
Sustainability Series
The Sustainability Series encourage local Bethesda Community to become active in sustainability practices, gain insights from experts and professionals working on environmental initiatives, and learn about alternative sustainability efforts in the area.
