Next Generation Inc. was conceived as a vehicle to assist both colleges and industry to respond to the urgent need to expand the number of BIPOC and women represented in clean energy careers. We offer recruitment, placement, training, career coaching and mentor services in the clean energy industry.
Our expertise in education is deeply rooted in our work with schools and universities at the local, state and federal levels. Additionally, our experience has taught us to end the silo approach to workforce development. As such, our most important value that we bring to universities and companies is our regional and local workforce development solutions designed to create the qualified BIPOC and Women Green Talent Pipeline.

Michele Joseph, President Over the years, Michele has honed exceptional coaching and relationship development skills, and thrives in an environment that utilizes her superpower: galvanizing a team around a shared vision and goal to achieve extraordinary outcomes. As a visionary, Michele cultivates fruitful relationships to grow a mission-focused organization. She obtained my MBA in strategy and marketing from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and my BS in Biology/Environmental Sciences from Catholic University of America. Michele also earned a certificate in Sustainable Practices for the Workplace and have taught entrepreneurship to promising high school students at the WEB Dubois Scholars Institute at Princeton University. Michele serve as an Advisory Board member for the Wheaton Sustainable Innovation Zone, member of the Greater Washington Region of Clean Cities Coalition, the Black Owners of Solar Services, and a Board member with Nonprofit Montgomery. Laurence Peters, Vice President. I am a leading curriculum expert and have developed courses for Johns Hopkins University, as well as Temple University. I have made dynamic contributions to the formation of the United States education workforce development policy, having served in senior positions for the US Congress and the US Department of Education. I teach at Johns Hopkins University where I specialize in global education. I have consulted with organizations across a broad spectrum of topics, and authored a variety of books on the transformational potential of education technology, the value of global education and the historical significance of the United Nations. As the Vice President of NEXT GENERATION, INC., I am involved with strategic partnership development with universities, workforce development organizations, and clean energy corporations.
Himanshi Sharma, Innovation Lead. I thrive at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and education. It is at that intersection that I design innovative solutions that drive positive change. I am also the founder of Edansh, an EdTech platform which directly connects high school and college students with career mentors. I earned my Masters in Education from John Hopkins University, and my BSc from Florida International University in Miami. I am currently a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University.
