The Montgomery County Green Business Certification Program is a voluntary program that recognizes businesses and organizations committed to reducing their environmental impact and operating more sustainably.
The Program aims to:
- Reward environmental leadership
- Empower businesses with tools, incentives, ideas, and leadership opportunities to green their operations
- Build a supportive, inclusive community with equitable access to certification for businesses of all types and sizes
- Spark innovation and help spread sustainable best practices throughout the county
- Encourage consumers and organizations to support Certified Green Businesses
The Green Business Certification program is delivered through a partnership between Bethesda Green and the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection.
We envision a thriving green economy in Montgomery County—one where businesses succeed by embedding sustainability into everyday operations
