Bethesda Green works to address environmental challenges locally by creating a sustainable, green community, built collaboratively through citizen engagement, environmental education, government partnership and innovative business development.
About the Internship
Best for DMV is the region’s leading campaign supporting growth in the sustainable business community, is accepting internship applications for the Fall semester. The Best for DMV campaign offers students a chance to directly support the region’s rapidly-expanding B Corp movement while receiving firsthand experience in business collaboration-building and exposure to many of the region’s leading B Corporation and other sustainable businesses.
The ideal candidate possesses passion for our movement and:
- Is located in the DC/Baltimore metro area
- Is a graduate student or in the final year of an undergraduate program
- Is available a minimum of 10 – 15 hours per week during the semester
- Is passionate about diversity, inclusion and using business as a force for good
- Possesses excellent research, writing and organizational skills
- Has some social media management and/or event planning experience
- Is proficient with use of Google G-Suite tools
- Is a self starter who takes initiative and demonstrates entrepreneurial thinking
- Has a strong ability to multitask and work independently with limited supervision
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Research and writing
- Database management
- Event planning and logistics
- Social media management
- Communications and marketing support
Depending upon individual circumstance, interns can work remotely or are hosted at Bethesda Green in Bethesda, MD. The internship is unpaid but college credit may be available.
