“Large-scale social change requires broad cross-sector coordination. Progress is made when non-profits, government, business and the public are brought together around a common agenda to create collective impact.” The Stanford Social Innovation Review, 2011.
“Collective impact” is what Bethesda Green is all about. We bring people and groups together — residents, businesses, government, schools, the faith-based community, restaurants, real estate developers and builders and more – to collaborate on innovative solutions that advance sustainability and help build a healthy local green economy.
Connecting residents, businesses, and government has enabled Bethesda Green to build a solid foundation toward our mission to make Bethesda a model sustainable community. We’ve got some big ideas for what we want to accomplish in the coming years. We are working on plan to implement more green solutions in Bethesda – changes you will be able to see such as electrical vehicles charging stations, green roofs, greener restaurants and conservation landscapes.
But we can’t do it without you. We always need your ideas, your involvement and financial support. Whether you’re business owner, a community leader at your local school, neighborhood, faith-based community or affiliate non-profit organization, or just someone who is passionate about sustainability, we want to work with you to create a more greener community.
