Join Green Neighbors Group

Formed in 2013, the Bethesda Green Neighbors group works to increase awareness about sustainability, strengthen connections with neighborhood leaders, and identify measureable action steps for communities.

The group focuses on:

  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy (specifically solar)
  • Waste management (recycling, composting and waste reduction)
  • Sustainable landscaping and lawn care (including storm-water management and increasing soil carbon)

Bethesda Green guides neighborhood projects around focus areas, supports designated leaders, serves as local information clearinghouse about sustainability, and identifies key contacts and event presenters.

Green Neighbors group meets last Wednesday of the month at 7pm at Bethesda Green. Please check the calendar for this month’s agenda.
